Bamboo Taxi is a South Florida powerhouse specializing in a vibrant fusion of Rock, Reggae, Funk, and Dance music. The band's unique sound is rooted in the story of founding members and Florida natives, brothers Dan and Ben Seffer, whose Bahamian descent gives them a distinct, deep-rooted Caribbean style of guitar and bass playing. While both brothers are legally blind, their musical sensibility is unparalleled, drawing from influences like Bob Marley, Dirty Heads, Sublime, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Desiree Ruiz—Cuban-descent, veteran of the Sloppy Joe's circuit—and anchored by multi-genre percussionist Joseph Getz, Bamboo Taxi delivers a high-energy, soulful performance guaranteed to light up any stage.
